“A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds “ Our college celebrated the Birth Anniversary of our founder member Late Shrimati Taramai Vartak as “PRERNA DIN” on 21 st Aug, 2020. The programme started at 5.00 pm. It was conducted online on Zoom & YouTube Live. Our Principal Mrs. Sarika Rawat & Supervisor Mrs. Sheetal Koradkar inaugurated the programme by paying tribute to Mai Saheb followed by lamp lighting. The journey on Shrimati Taramai Vartak life & her achievements were portrayed through documentary, poem, & speech. Students also put in their views, sharing their thoughts for Mai Saheb. More than 100 students attended the live celebration. The programme was ended at 6.00 pm.


We at Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak College and Narsinh Govindrao Vartak Junior College to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts and hardwork of our teachers had organised Teacher’s Day Celebration on 4th Sep, 2020 at 10:00 am by maintaining social distancing norms amidst this COVID-19 pandemic. The celebration began by paying tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and SavitriBai Phule. The major attraction of the day was the video messages, self recorded songs and dance video sent by the students to express their gratitude and appreciation towards the teachers. Further to make the environment more lively and joyful we had some teachers performance, amazing games followed by lunch and gift distribution. Indeed it was a day to remember!



Today Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak College & N.G. Vartak English Medium High School & Junior College celebrated 74 th Independence Day. Unlike other years, the celebration of this event amid the global Coronavirus pandemic was held differently. It was a low-key affair in terms of participation of people keeping all the safety & social distance norms issued by the government. The day started at 8 a.m by flag hoisting ceremony by the principal Mrs. Sarika Rawat, reciting National Anthem and taking oath. Maintaining social distancing the students were made part of the Independence Day celebration through online live streaming of video made by the teachers. The entire programme was conducted proficiently.


Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak college and N.G.V artak Junior College had organized and celebrated "World Yoga Day" on 21st June ,2019 on the college ground. The programme was scheduled to began at 7:30am. The programme of Junior and Senior college celebrated at the same time. One group of the students already prepared for demonstration of different types of Yoga activities. Yogasanas like Padmasan, Parvatasana, Utkatasana, Surya Namaskar, Pranav mudra, Tadasana were taught in the session The function was a grand success as many students were benefited with it



In order to inculcate sportsman spirit among students, the much awaited sports week was held on 8th, 10th and 11th December’2018 on the college ground. Our sports meet started with the prayer followed by breaking of a coconut, which is considered to be sign of goodwill. The Principal Mrs. Sarika Rawat and Supervisor Mrs. Sheetal Koradkar were a part of opening ceremony and gave the first clap to mark the beginning of sports meet. At the end, a prize distribution ceremony was organized. Mr. Santosh Pingulkar was invited as chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony who encouraged the young athletes and generated sportsmanship among them by his energetic speech. The annual sports day came to an end by delivering of vote of thanks y our Sports Incharge Mrs. Sheetal Vartak.


The main aim of the English literary committee is to journey into the realm of literary art that shapes the inner self nurtures the creative thirst and sculpts the raw potential of Young Ignited minds. Keeping the same in mind the in-change teachers of the English literary committee Mrs. Joyce Barboze and Mrs. Ulrika Rodrigues Organized ‘English Literary Day’ in N.G. Vartak Junior college on 27th August 2019 at 7:30 am in the college hall. The activities conducted to celebrate this day were as follows: 1) HAT SPEECH COMPETITION wherein students were given a speech topic just fifteen minutes prior to the competition. The students had the liberty to use the library for their Preparation. 2) MINI WORD MAKING COMPETITION wherein the students were given complex words in three rounds and they were to make smaller words from the same each round students were given ten minutes.
