DLLE - Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension


August 2016-estabalishement of Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak College and on December 2017 we were announced as a part of DLLE (Unit of MU).

In the mid of the academic year 2016-2017, we started Department of Lifelong learning and extension only with 20 students, with the help of Co-coordinator, Guide of English Literature- Mumbai University, Lecturer in Communication skill in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology and Assistant Professor at Nalanda Nrutya Kala Mahavidyalay, Juhu, Mumbai - Dr. Vijay Kumar Patil. He introduced DLLE and gave foundation to build a rapport with DLLE Department of Mumbai University.

Within the time span of two years 64 students of our college became the part of DLLE

Past three consecutive years many activities were conducted under the guidance of DLLE MU coordinator Dr. Vijaykumar Patil and Dr. Clementine Rebello -


  • Cleanliness Drive in College areas and Rajodi Beach in Feb-2018
  • Plantation at Rajodi beach in July 2018, Plantation at College Premises in August 2018
  • Employment Generation opportunity with the help of paper bags (How to prepare glue from waste of chakki Atta) Dec 2018- Acknowledgement taken by DLLE department.
  • Distributed sweets in slum areas in the Dec 2018
  • Visit to Old age home August 2019
  • Cleanliness drive at beach and surrounding areas in September 2019
  • Via Carrier Projects (CP) information shared by students like banking sectors, air hostess course, GDC & A, technical courses via different computer classes, etc. for continuous three years.




Student's Achievement


  • Ms. Leena Paradkar and Ms. Karima Khan secured 3rd Price in Poster Making Competition in UDAAN 2020.
  • Mr. Manas Tiwari student of T.Y.B.com 2019-20 was selected for Anchoring in Hindi at Palghar District in UDAAN Festival 2020 which was held at Padamshree Bhausaheb Vartak College, Virar (East) on 17th February 2020.
  • Ms. Devika Rane student of T.Y.B.com 2018-19 was selected for Anchoring in Marathi at Palghar District in UDAAN Festival 2019 which was held at G.G.College, Vasai (West) on 13th February 2019.

UDAAN-A Flight of Extension is one of the biggest festivals of DLLE and our college has participated in UDAAN for last three years.

In the year 2019-20, it was a great privilege for our college to conduct and be the part of the big festival Udaan at District level. More than 12 colleges with total 280 students along with student managers and teachers had participated in the event. With the support of our Management, Principal, Supervisor’s, teaching - non-teaching staff and our DLLE coordinator Dr.Clementine Rebello Madam, Dr. Vijaykumar Patil Sir and Mumbai University’s DLLE Director Dr. Dilip Patil Sir, Dr. Kunal Jadhav Sir and whole DLLE team the event turned to a great success.

Students of our college became the part of UDAAN by participating in various activities like –


  • In 2019-20 our students participated in a street play on Nash Mukti with the help of Mr. Anant Naik. Students passed on an eye opening message to our young generation.
  • In 2018-19 our students participated in a street play on Women Empowerment. Students also showed their talent by making posters.
  • In 2017-18 our students participated in a street play on Save Food. Students also showed their talent by making posters.
