Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak College & N.G. Vartak English Medium High School & Junior College had celebrated "Ganesh Festival" on 21st August, 2020 within the college premises. Every year we celebrate Ganesh festival with great enthusiasm and fun. But unlike other years, this year it turned into a low-key event in terms of involvement of people retaining all the protection & social distance norms issued by the authorities. The celebration started with installation of Ganesh Idol with lots of devotion followed by Ganesh Pooja and Aarti. The programme ended with the distribution of Prasad.
The festival of Janmashtami is celebrated with great fun. The child-god Krishna and his friends used to form human pyramids to break pots hung from the ceilings of neighboring houses in order to steal curd and better, so with the same zeal on the ground of our college. Gopal Kala was celebrated on Friday, 23 rd August 2019. Program arrangements were done by students by bringing colorful handi & decorating it with balloons and colorful ribbons. Students of all the classes were gathered on college premises.The program started sharp at 9:30 am by performing aarti. After that human pyramid was formed both by girls and boys to break handi. Thereafter prasad was distributed among the students.
Every year we celebrate Ganesh festival in the college campus. Preparation of this festival started days before. The student in charge were given the responsibility of decorating college premises. Installation ceremony of Ganesha Idol on 12th September 2018. The programme started with grand procession with students, Teaching & Non-Teaching faculty members. Then the Ganesha idol was installed with deep reverence and the sound of drums and lezims filled the atmosphere with a festive mood. The programme started with lezim followed by Ganesh Pooja and aarti. The programme ended with the distribution of Prasad to each and every one.
Eid is a festival of prayers, Joy, Happiness, and brotherhood. Eid was celebrated on 6/12/19 at 9.30 am in our college. Program arrangements, decoration of hall and board, etc. were done. All the students came dressed in traditional attire. Later one of our students spoke on meaning, purpose, and importance of celebrating eid. She explained how Eid brings joy and happiness those were pure and Nobel at heart during this holy month and followed the path of God, she explained how this festival brings special cheer for the children as they wear new cloths and get money or Eidi and sweets on the occasion. After the wonderful introduction of the Eid, the students of junior college presented song, naath, Skit and dance related to Eid.
