Discrete Journey of Department of Life Long Learning and Extension

The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension’s establishment in Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak College on December 2017.

The unit started with only 20 students, with the help of Co-coordinator, Guide of English Literature- Mumbai University, Lecturer in Communication skill in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology and Assistant Professor at Nalanda Nrutya Kala Mahavidyalay, Juhu, Mumbai – Dr. Vijaykumar Patil. He introduced DLLE and gave foundation to build a rapport with DLLE Department of Mumbai University. This was the kick need for the college students to prove themselves and within 5 years we have reached with more than 300 students participated in DLLE.

The out reach programmes conducted so far are as follows:-

We were part of UDDAN festival as a host college in the year February 2020 and total more than 15 colleges from Mumbai till Dahanu were part of this festival. Under DLLE banner we have done many things for people like street play, Seminars, employment opportunity in slum areas, beach cleanliness drive, tree plantation drive and many more.

In continuation of 3 years our two students were selected for anchoring in the year 2019 and 2020. We have won prizes in poster making in the year 2020 and year 2021.Our students also participated in 2022 UDAAN Festival and won first prize in Poster making competition. In the year 2023 our DLLE students participated in Powada signing and Street Play at Palghar district. We have won third prize for street play in the academic year 2023-24.Top of Form
